A beautiful and truly mesmerising new single from Southend indie-rock band, The Trusted, is the perfect addition to any playlist.

The melancholy number is an emotional outpour if tears, longing and love combined with heartfelt lyrics which resonate with the audience. The haunting keyboard riffs lead the listener through the journey, twisting and turning through complimentary synths before climbing up the pre-chorus with regimental drumbeats to reach an ultimate outcry in the bridge, which is truly the point in the song where all instrumental narrative strands are tied up together in a neat bow. The rhetorical ending leaves the audience hanging on a cliff edge of emotion, deep in thought.
The track differs greatly from the live performance, but both are equally as heartfelt. Personally, I love how this song has been produced: the keyboard works really well with the guitar and complements the general tone of the track perfectly while the vocals, along with this, add a raw sense of personalisation and deep connection with the lyrics.
To summarise, in their own words, "It's basically just Tom crying for three minutes"
