Personally, I found the production video extremely eye-opening and would really recommend watching it.
The low-fi beats create a calming tone which is contradicted by the frantic search for the answer to the question of 'what sound has been modified to create the melodies?'. This is preceded by the enigmatic title of 'Name That Sound' - being an imperative, it almost gives listeners a challenge to name the sounds, thus drawing the listener in.
The thing I love about this single is it can be interpreted in so many different ways and is the perfect music for any occasion: it is really versatile. The single is perfect for escapism, trying to pinpoint the sounds and distract from the world, so contributes greatly to mindfulness. However, if it is background music that is needed, it has the perfect balance of tones to create ambience for any occasion.
Personally, I feel like this is a really good follow up from his debut album 'Ode To An Artist', and I found it really interesting to be able to watch the process of creating this track.
