The debut release from up and coming band, Red Tape, demonstrates a combination of genres and influences that marry together to create a unique and distinct sound. With hints of The Beatles, Kings of Leon, The Chats, Big Country and Catfish and the Bottlemen, this band creates a whole new listening experience of genres that immerses the audience completely in their grasp.
The amazing thing I've been finding is how so many bands can seemingly be rolled into one album: the many different influences accumulate into a mass of beauty.
'Rose' and 'Good Doctor' are my two personal favourites: they incorporate intricate guitar solos, perfectly timed drumming and punk vocals which really demonstrates the band's talents as a collective and individually. The whole album is a really strong release and I, for one, cannot wait to see these lads live when covid allows!
