Welcome (back) to the Bubble

In 2020, I sat down to write my first post for Music Bubble. Since then, the Bubble has been on a journey and taken many forms: from blog to social media, podcast, back to blog again, eventually leading up to where we are today, nearly five years on from my first post.

In 2025, the Bubble makes a return, and more of a return with a statement too: Do not let anyone burst your Bubble.

When I started this blog, I reached out for music recommendations to broaden my horisons and review, reviewed Glastonbury in my mini series 'Glasto on TV' during lockdown, and reviewed some of my favourite tracks. On the podcast, I spoke to local musicians about a multitude of topics, ranging from mental health to sample sound, hearing some fantastic anecdotes in the process. I was fortunate enough to then branch out to musicians up and down the country, as well as speaking to a band in America.

Unfortunately, my episode with American band At The Starlight never reached the ears of the listeners due to personal circumstances, whereby the blog and podcast came to a standstill, and I took a step back to re-evaluate.

In 2024, Music Bubble took a break. I went through many stages of how to relaunch and in what format, or whether to even pick it back up again in the first place. Seeing as you are reading this now, it will come as no surprise the conculsion that I reached. So here I am, re-launching a new era of Music Bubble.

One where everything music will be encompassed.

One where stories will be told.

And most importantly, one where no-one will burst my bubble.
