Hello Again!

It's been a while!

In the past few months, I have been settling into my job which has taken up most of my time. However, every time I think I might call it a day on here, something keeps dragging me back. So here I am again, subject to the fishing rod of music, been reeled back in once again.

I spend a lot of time driving in my job, and I have been finding I have been going through different musical phases. At the moment, I have really got back into what I would consider American Punk Rock. I'm talking about Blink 182, Bowling for Soup, Green Day, My Chemical Romance...

I can't quite explain the thrill I get - that feeling of adrenaline rushing through your bones - when the tempo increases and the harsh chords hit. The off-beat drums, intense and consistent bass, alongside rough-around-the-edges vocals - there is a nostalgic feel that reminds me of being back in the local music venues in my teenage years.

Prior to this, I was in my indie pop phase, digging back up over 2000's and 2010's pop and singing my heart out in between appointments. For a solid couple of months.

So what triggered this drastic shift in taste, even if only temporary? I went to karaoke. I went to karaoke at a pub where every song was a throwback to my teenage years, head-banging and mosh-pitting until 1am.

I am still actively working with Fresh on The Net - a privilege I am lucky to have, hearing new musicians every week with such talent.

So long story short -I'm back. Music Bubble has and always will be a massive part of my life. No matter how much I think it may be time to move on, I keep pinging back.
