Vocal Cuddles

Sometimes songs are like a big hug that embrace you at a time of need and comfort. For me, there are two artists that do this.

1. Billy Joel

   Billy Joel is the soulful confort voice with words of wisdom. 'Vienna', especially is one of my favourite songs for reassuring myself that I am doing ok in life. It is the song I turn to when I need reassurance, emotional support and the feeling of having my own movie moment. That and 'She's Always A Woman'. Joel has a timelessly classic way of encapsulating the audience in their own bubble of emotion, acting as a familiar voice of comfort.

   
   

2. The Vamps

   I always joke that I have been in a 12-year long-term relationship with The Vamps. The truth is, it does feel like I have been in a relationship with them because of how emotionally invested I am in every one of their songs, stories and journeys. The boys have been there for me through good times and bad, with a range of their songs soundtracking key moments in my life. The nostalgia I associate with the early albums of theirs is enough to act as a comfort, let alone the feeling that I have grown up with them emotionally.
